SAMSUNG Galaxy Watch 5 Pro

Quality watch for the health conscious. I was looking for a way to monitor my exercise while outside. I use this for walking and biking. It is nice not to have to wear a chest strap, which I do for home workouts. This watch gives me a lot of information when exercising outside. I also use it when mowing and snow clearing. It gives me steps walked, calories burned, heart rate, O2 levels, body composition and more. When you’re done, it provides charts showing activity and calorie burn levels over time, maximum heart rate and average heart rate, and more. It’s amazing how much information is compiled. You can just wear it every day to get health information for your daily activity. It also monitors sleep, but I don’t use this feature. I get two to three days on battery before having to recharge.You can install a Wear app on your phone and sync the phone with the watch via Bluetooth. This occurs when you are setting up the watch, which I found to be very straightforward. The watch face is customizable. You can use different faces or modify the default face. Many changes can be made on the phone and then sent to the watch.What I found cool was that phone calls and texts showed up on the watch. No need to take the phone out of my pocket. It comes with numerous apps installed. For example, compass, weather, contacts, messages, phone, health monitor (can do an EKG), Bixby, stopwatch, gallery, media, Outlook, calculator, voice recorder, google assistant, and payment apps to name a bunch. Watch settings can also be changed on the app. I would recommend downloading the user manual and going through it to learn all the features. The manual can also be accessed in the app.I wasn’t sure how I would like a smartwatch, but now I’m glad I bought one. The only downside to this model is the thickness, which isn’t a problem for me.

Upon fully charging this product and setting it up the battery didn’t last more than a day due to the downloading of all the apps, after I was able to get back into it, I went on the mobile app and shut down/disabled the apps I didn’t need and got rid of the ones that would let me delete. This product acts/functions as it should.

Everything is intuitive and works as it should. I’ve used a couple other smart watches of lesser value and had issues with the functionality and navigation. I have been using this watch now for a month and I’m very happy with it. I’m not using the cellular activation only the Bluetooth. I pair it with my Samsung Galaxy s23 ultra. I don’t like carrying my phone around with me when I’m doing my workout or fixing things around the house . This allows me to get all my notifications and incoming phone calls . It handles notifications from various apps perfectly, controls my Bluetooth speaker in the garage and monitors my health status without errors or issues. Navigating the watch screen is very intuitive. I love all the different watch face selections and customizations you can do. I’ve added a black cover and screen protector to my watch and they fit very well. The magnetic clasp is super convenient to pop the watch off and on when needed. So far I’ve been able to use it in my workouts and daily activities and it hasn’t gotten damaged or fallen off. I sleep with the watch on so it can monitor my sleep and because it also has a do not disturb function that prevents the watch from lighting up at night if I move around. Cleaning it is fairly simple and the bands just pop right off with a little lever underneath the watch. I use the built in water tight function when I’m washing it. The battery life is pretty good. If I put it on battery saving mode I can run it for about 4 days between charges. If I turn off battery saving mode which basically just allows you to bring the watch up to eye level and it will turn on the sceen, it will run for about 2-3 days Very happy with this purchase and would recommend this watch.

I’ve bought this about 9 months ago, and so far no complaints. The battery lasts about 48-55 hours if you work out for 1-2 hours every day like me (and use the watch to track them). It can last for up to 4 days if you’re only using it as a regular watch, replying to the occasional Whatsapp message while you’re out in the street.
The water resistance so far is holding up (I swim with it about 3 hours every week), and there are compatible apps like Swim.com that have many features to track your swimming workouts, e.g. number of laps, distance, heart rate, strokes per lap, style detection, etc., there’s also lots of other fitness apps that sync with your phone (e.g. Google Fit, Strava, etc.). It can also help you take selfies with your phone (activating the camera shutter with your watch), which is kinda cool.
The build quality seems good too, it shows few if any signs of wear despite what I’m putting it through.
Overall, I’m happy with it, and if I ever lost it or had it stolen, I’d almost certainly buy the same again.
