Don’t hesitate to order. Great product! I accidentally broke the cord, and the company was nice enough to send another one! The product works amazing.

I did wanted badly, but. Installation is very easy, the screen has very good resolution with no lag at all.The first day of usage everything was working very well until the 2nd day:I was following directions with the map and suddenly a message indicating Wi-Fi lost and error message and I have to restart the unit.I did restarted and the map of the route gone but not on my phone. I had to pull over on the site of the road to start everything again. After I restarted the unit everything good again, after 10-15 minutes the problem happens again and repeat the new start and changing Wi-Fi 5Ghz to 2.4 Ghz.Restarted again the process and after 10-15 minutes failed again. At this time I decided to return the unit. I did like the unit while working. Too bad.

Decent product, functional, poor sound quality. Lenovo Tab M9 works well for glass screen protector!!! Even though the sound quality is poor, I really like this item. It works consistently. I drive on average 1200 miles per week. I have had it for a few weeks now. Wireless apple car play is (for the most part) reliable. Every now and again it cuts out. I just unplug it and plug it back in. Fm transmitter works well but volume is reduced by a large margin. The aux plug is definitely the way to go. I have not tested Bluetooth because my work truck lacks that feature even though it is a 2018. Screen mirroring works very well. I have not figured out how to air play on it, this could be related to me simply not reading the manual. The carpuride backup camera is not very desirable. It works well when it is nice and sunny. It is useless dusk to dawn. The camera has led diodes instead of infrared. This proves to be its biggest setback. The camera also doesn’t have a fish is lens. I ordered a random infrared fish eye camera and the device won’t accept it for some reason so I have to continue using the model specific camera. I still believe for its price point it is pretty on par. I don’t know how it stacks up against its cheaper counterparts. I would recommend this product, but with a small disclaimer.

This is a great product! And the company provides great service. My son just turned 16 and we acquired an older car that didn’t have Carplay or a backup camera. I wanted both so he could have navigation and a better chance of not backing into something as a new driver.Ran across this product, and it fit the bill nicely. The Pontiac G8 had a useless little cubby space on top of the dashboard which was a great place to mount the new screen. We took the dash partway apart and drilled a hole to run the wires through. Through some custom wiring, all the connections are hidden, including power, and the only wiring you see is where the aux cable runs about 2 inches and plugs into the stereo with a right-angle connector. Virtually unnoticeable. This device supports Wireless Carplay so there is no need to run the USB connection to the phone, but you could. And we can still plug a phone into it directly with a non-hidden wire if necessary.I had three occasions to contact support over this purchase. They are very responsve, and not what you might expect from a Chinese company:1) The manufacturer offers to change the bootup screen to anything you desire. You just have to send them the picture, and a quick little USB flash process updates it. I had them update it to a Pontiac logo that I created using some internet clip art. The next morning I had the file and instructions in my mailbox.2) As we were finishing readying the car for my son, we noticed that audio was only coming out of the left channel via the aux out port. It worked fine with the FM transmitter, but you don’t get as good of sound quality that way. I ran some tests to ensure it was actually the unit (tried a second cable, tried another device with the car’s audio input, etc) and let support know. They first offered me a $50 refund to just use the FM transmitter. I said I would rather have a new unit as we wanted the better audio quality. They were fine with that, and said they would send me a new unit, no return necessary. I expected this to be shipped from China 4-6 weeks later, but to my great surprise, a couple days later I had a package from Amazon with a complete new kit. Amazing service.3) So now I needed the Pontiac logo on the new unit. I emailed them to ask if I could just use the original file from the first unit. They instead sent me a new one. Not sure what the difference was, but it works fine. So… great product, and great service. So what’s not to like? I only have a couple minor complaints:1) The audio out cable they provide should have right angle connections on it. The power cord and camera cord already do, and they hide nicely behind the unit thanks to that. But the provided 1/8″ audio cable is just a standard cable that would stick out and be ugly if you used it. I replaced it with a proper right-angle cable for about $10 and all is well.2) The unit is just a little bit wobbly on the included bracket. In practice you don’t really notice it, but if they could fix that, it would be a little bit better. Minor nitpick though. All and all, highly recommended. I hope it lasts the test of time.

I have an older car with outdated technology, on a long waitlist for a new car so I did some research to find a good Apple car play device and WOW, I found the right one! The screen size is 9″ and the display is crystal clear. I could have purchased a 7″ for less but the 9″ just looks like the perfect size for my car. Just plug it in, connect and works like a charm – so easy. Turns on and off with the car automatically. Definitely would recommend it to anyone looking to upgrade their older car with today’s technology. And as a nice touch, the brand even reached out to me to ask if I am satisfied with the product AND told me “We provide free custom boot logo service, just send your favorite photos, pictures, or car logos to us, then we will customize the boot logo for you.”

Got a couple of quirks, but overall it’s working as advertised. I have a couple of older cars that lost connectivity due to the old 3G system going away. After the sticker shock when I asked about adding carplay on either vehicle, I did some research and found this one. It arrived really quickly and worked as soon as I plugged it in.As with all carplays I’ve used, the connection was a little twitchy at first, but once it settled down, it works great and is pretty quick. Best of all, I can use it in both cars (although I may buy a second unit for my other one.) and maybe the boat too. Only thing I’d recommend is use the dimensions and cut out a piece of paper to see how big it’ll be on your dash. The 9″ is a little large for what I needed, so I may just go with a 7″ or even the 10.3 since they’re both a little shorter.Couple of things I noticed:Some apps don’t work unless they’re active on the phone. Google maps and Waze are both a little finicky until they decide to cooperate, Audacy doesn’t display anything and other apps can be a bit twitchy. Putting the phone in airplane mode for 5-10 seconds and reconnecting seems to help some of the time. The light sensor is on the back of the unit, so car headlights cause the screen to flair. I put tape over mine and just set it manually, but the sensor would be better placed on the front for a more accurate reading.”Airplay” is a little difficult to get into, it’s just finicky and sometimes lick up the unit requiring a hard restart.Going from wired to wireless sometimes fails requiring a hard start.Overall, can’t really go wrong with this one. Definitely recommend.Additional notes (4/3/23): After our first long trip, we really liked the unit, but we did find a coupe of additional things:The FM signal is really weak. Even in an area with some open FM ranges, it didn’t work well. The signal was scratchy and had a background hiss that was quite distracting. In town with the crowded spectrum it was basically useless, but an aux cable fixed that. The adhesive on the window bracket is STRONG. Expect to work to get the bracket off your window. I’m hoping the suction cup still holds that well after it wears off!

Inexpensive and easy way to have Apple Car Play. I have a factory stereo with a screen that slides up, which complicates the process of being able to maintain a factory appearance while adding an Apple Car Play compatible stereo / device. I didn’t initially want an external display to solve this problem but there are no reasonably priced ($4-500ish) options that allow me to add Car Play with a factory look. This Carpuride 9” device is great and I’m very happy with its performance. I paid about $250 for this particular version, which is way lower than any other options I found. I was skeptical that the quality would be very good, but once it’s all set up, the experience is everything I wanted my car to have in the first place. The setup was slightly goofy, as others have mentioned, but once you get it going, it’s pretty seamless. (You technically connect via Bluetooth, but it also somehow uses wifi(?)). Anyway, I now just get in my car, turn it on, and after about 15-20 seconds, it goes right into Car Play. The touch screen is sensitive and you don’t have to press any harder than a modern phone. Screen mirroring also works as expected. Phone calls sound good and the people I speak with say it sounds good on their end as well. The little speakers on the device are pretty small and the quality is just meh, but I think most people will either use the FM or AUX functionality for sound. I used the AUX connection and my music actually sounds better now than it did before. I highly recommend this for people that have limited options to get Car Play or Android Auto or just don’t want to mess with a full install of a new stereo.

I vote best idea for 2023. Not sponsored and never write a review unless it is horribly bad. This is by far best addition for 5 years and older vehicles pre-screen era and ease of operation and transition is smooth from app to app and running map directions in the background. If you have a great sound system this just puts your vehicle into the 21st century. Mounting location is probably the most important and preferred location is up to the driver. I mounted mine right of steering wheel tight to dash to have access to radio face. Steering wheel controls still work with volume and hands free calling is spot on. The cycle from android auto and mirroring is the only thing I change from settings and trying to learn how to get utube on android auto is my next step. It learns from what you have used and it is easy and to switch from app to app with zero lag in touch screen. I have a honda element with built in bass unit and really has great sound and I use the aux jack to link it to the radio and have not tried the transmission link. The Bluetooth works seamless when using headphones also. Was going to by a 600.00 head unit and would have been a job to fit and have steering controls while using the factory amp but this unit is the simplest and best product I have seen in decades.

So far so good. I just recently purchased the 9 inch carpuride screen for my 2008 Honda Pilot. It has given my car the screen found in the new cars, without having to replace my radio. First, off, the instructions are a bit confusing, in regards to the app to down load. Autolink Pro is the app to down load. You also have to link the Bluetooth to your phone. Be patient, and follow the directions. Now, I don’t have an aux input, so I play mines through the fm transmitter. It can sometimes get mildly staticky, depending on where I am driving, I solved that problem by adjusting the EQ found in the Bluetooth menu, and turning on the LOUD (heavy bass) switch also found in the EQ screen. Then, I turned the Bluetooth media volume all the way up on my phone. Now, I just adjust the volume with my steering wheel controls. Also, the speakers behind the screen have a nice rich sound, but I normally leave those speakers off. That volume can only be adjusted by manually adjusting it on the screen. Some of my music occasionally has an explicit lyric or two, so, I can’t be trying to adjust the volume on the carpuride while driving.I use android auto. It is very nice, and my Waze maps and all the Android auto apps are good and clear. Make sure you have the latest version of Waze, or you will have a problem with the map lagging behind your position. I had to delete my Waze, then reload it, A second way to use the screen is use the Autolink which just mirrors your phone screen. I do that if I’m in the car waiting for my wife, and I want to watch some YouTube videos. The 3rd way i figured out is Bluetooth. Android auto only works when my phone is plugged into the device. But, I can also connect my phone by Bluetooth without plugging it in. This allows you to play music or make phones only. But……BUT….if you connect your android auto first, the bluetooth for some reason won’t work. It shows the bluetooth, but you won’t hear anything. Also, It automatically connects to my phone’s Bluetooth when I turn my car on. As long as I don’t connect my phone via the usb cord, the Bluetooth is great. Once I connect the phone, And the android auto kicks in, I can’t hear anything on the bluetooth unless I restart the carpuride. That is truly no problem, because 99.9% of the time, I’m have everything I need through the Android auto.I did not use the window or dash board holder. Instead, I ordered the APPS2 magnetic car phone mount that mounts in my CD player. My CD player does not get used, lol!! So why not give it a purpose. My CD player sits up high, so it gives my screen a kind of a mini Tesla screen look, without being in the way. As far as the cords, the device cord goes to the cigarette lighter…..or whatever they call it now, …….to connect to my car’s fm transmission, and , the phone usb cord of course goes to my phone. I got some zip ties, and braided the cords together, and just let them lay down the side of the dash, and tucked them into the edge of the ash tray Not perfect,…not ugly, but really nice for me, Furthermore, with the magnetic mount, and the long cords, if I want to, I can just take the device off, the mount without unplugging it, and tuck it between my seat and the arm rest so that no one can see it. But I don’t hang out in seedy areas, so I just leave it connected when I’m out and about. Plus, my windows have a light tint, and it is really hard to see the wires from outside the car. My wife gave me 2 thumbs up, says it does not look bad at all, and it looks like all of the newer cars screens, , and she likes it. Besides, she is happy I didn’t buy a new car.Cons: it does show fingerprints really bad, lol! But so does my wife’s 2018 CRV. Also, the android auto is not an immediate connection. It normally takes about 15-20 seconds, and sometimes I have to unplug my phone and reconnect it for it to connect to AA (I just do it before I start driving). But, sometimes, it connects immediately. I haven’t figured out that sweet spot yet where it just connects all the time…..I’m sure it’s operator error, But, those are very very minor things. Now, if you have an older model car that is paid for, and runs great (like mines), and you just want to spruce up that dash board without that new car or new Tesla payment this device is the way to go. I will update as use and events warrant.7/27/2022- a quick update for two things. In regards to the device. It is great. I am really enjoying it. The device does have a red light that shows it is plugged into power. When I initially plugged it into my car, the red light was facing up, and I noticed the red light was kind of annoying when I’m driving (especially at night). So, I plugged the device in with the light facing down. That improved it 100%. Now, no distraction at all, and the red light looks like the ambient lighting you also find in newer cars. A hidden bonus……..woohoo!!However, in regards to my magnetic cd mount. My APPS2 cd mount is good. But, after 2 weeks of driving it fell out of the cd slot. What I discovered was that the little 3 little pads that hold it inside of the CD player slid off due to the carpuride weight. BUT…..BUT…. Quick fix, and I’m back in business. The adhesive used on the mount is not strong. So, I just reglued the 3 pads with some Krazy glue. Let it sit for a couple of hours, and now, no problems….at all. As a matter of fact, it is holding my carpuride screen even better . There is very little movement when I’m driving.3/25/2023-things are still going great. However, I recently bought a new phone (a REVVL6 by T-Mobile.). Now, things have gotten better. My new phone immediately connects to the carpuride WIRELESSLY!! there is no delay for AA anymore, and I only plug in my phone to charge it (if I need to). I just get in, start the car, and within seconds the AA connects. Also, all of the new Google map updates on my phone still appear on my screen. So, I now have split screen when I use Google maps and my music. The Krazy glue to my magnetic phone holder is also still holding up.
